On 18 September 2017, Impax Asset Management Group plc announced that it had entered into agreements to acquire 100% of Pax World Management LLC. The acquisition was completed on 18 January 2018, creating an investment manager focused on the transition to a more sustainable global economy.

Impax manages approximately £11.8 billion (as at 30 June 2018) for institutional and high-net-worth investors globally, and is committed to providing strong long-term risk-adjusted returns.
The head office is in London with offices in New York City, Oregon, New Hampshire and Hong Kong.
The Listed Equity team manages six global and regional investment strategies and manages listed equity funds on behalf of third party distributors including BNP Paribas
The Private Equity team invests in European renewable power generation infrastructure assets in two funds: Impax New Energy Investors is a EUR125 million fund which closed in August 2006 and Impax New Energy Investors II is a EUR330 million fund which closed in August 2011.
